Notes:

Frank Wolfe was a very unusual person. When he and his wife first were in Cleveland around t he turn of the century, they were very poor. Margaret Miller told me a story about how he kil led and cooked a cat and told the children it was a squirrel. She said you never knew what h e would try to pull next. He was mischievous, but not cruel. She called it "The house of h orrors".

From "Early Fairchilds in American and Their Descendants" by Jean Fairchild Gilmore: On 10 Dec 1674 Samuel's lands were recorded. Heh had 12 acres received from his father 30 De c 1668, land received by gift from his grandfather Seabrook and land he had received in excha nge with brother Thomas. Samuel was a ship's carpenter and a member of the Congregational Chu rch in Stratford.
